A stylish luxury resort on Seven Mile Beach that manages to be genuinely family-friendly without feeling like a kids resort. Seafire is a particularly strong fit for families who want great pools and kids amenities, but still care about design, dining, spa time, and an upscale overall experience.
Why I'd choose it
I’d choose Seafire for a family that wants the amenities that make traveling with kids easier, but doesn’t want to sacrifice the things the adults care about. You get a kids club, SPLASH waterpark, family-friendly pools and spacious room options, while still getting stylish design, strong dining, a beautiful beach and a serious spa.
What to know
This is not an all-inclusive resort, and that’s not necessarily a negative in Grand Cayman. If you’re specifically looking for a vacation where virtually everything is prepaid and you never think about the bill once you arrive, this probably isn’t the right fit. But if experiencing restaurants and having flexibility matters to you, Grand Cayman is a destination where non-all-inclusive can make a lot of sense.
I'd choose something else if
Your biggest priority is an all-inclusive experience, you want a very quiet and secluded boutique property, or you’re looking primarily for the lowest possible resort price. Seafire makes the most sense when you’ll actually value and use its combination of luxury and family amenities.

Modern, polished and lively without feeling hectic. It has more personality and a slightly more relaxed feel than a traditional luxury resort, which makes it especially appealing for families who want upscale without stuffy.
Beach
Directly on Seven Mile Beach with access to swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding and sailing. The resort also has a beach boardwalk and beachfront food and drink service.
Pools
A major selling point for families. The resort has oceanfront pool areas, including a family-friendly Seafire Pool with food and beverage service. The newer SPLASH at Seafire adds a waterpark experience for children 12 and under.
Rooms
Bright, contemporary rooms and suites with private balconies. Standard rooms start around 441 square feet, with king and two-queen configurations available. Larger families have options ranging from suites to two-bedroom beach houses, and connecting rooms and cribs are available by request.
Kids club
Camp Seafire offers programming for ages 5 to 12, and SPLASH provides an additional waterpark experience for children 12 and under. The resort also currently lists kids-eat-free among its amenities.
Dining
Dining is one of the reasons I’d put Seafire high on the list for travelers who care about food. The property currently lists four on-site restaurants, with options including Ave, Avecita, Coccoloba Bar & Grill and Seafire Pantry.
Standout
It pulls off the combination that’s surprisingly hard to find: a legitimate luxury resort that gives kids plenty to do without making adults feel like they booked their vacation at a children’s resort.
